June Chebet Moi, the daughter of former president Moi, passed away: During this difficult time, the family has confirmed the 60-year-old’s passing while asking for privacy from the public.
However, they withheld the reason of death from the devastating announcement made on April 11, 2024.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing on of our beloved, June Chebet Moi this morning,” the message said.

The final child of Moi, June Chebet, was taken in by the late leader when she was a little child. For her secondary school, she went to Kenya High School and Nairobi Primary School.
